About First Lady Essy Bragg

In 1979, Sis. Esperanza (Essy) Bragg accepted Christ as a teenager under the leadership of the late Elder Elijah A. Reid, Pastor of Greater Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ, Berlin, NJ.  She was a member of the Young Adult Choir, Young Women's Christian Counsel (YWCC) and the Young People's Willing Workers (YPWW).

In 1986, Sis. Essy and then Minister Gawain D. Bragg, Sr. wed and shortly thereafter, Sis. Essy joined her husband as a member of Renaissance COGIC.  In 2006, upon the passing of Pastor L. Philip Bragg, Sis. Essy Bragg joined her husband (and Pastor) in a pledge by declaring before God and the Renaissance church family her willingness to support her husband, to cooperate with him in his ministry, and in every way possible to assist him in building the Kingdom of God in his pastorate.

Sis. Essy Bragg now serves as the President of the Women's Department, a member of the Adult Choir and works with teens and young women to help them develop and understand their God-given purpose within the Renaissance ministry.

Overall, First Lady Essy Bragg's greatest desire is to support her husband and continuously grow closer to God as He anoints them to advance the Kingdom of God.  Her testimony remains the same, "She is yet saved, sanctified, baptized and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost".
